A cream ivory ground worked in a dense mosaic of small raised blocks — a fine grid of ivory, grey and oatmeal squares tufted into a tight, pixelated field. Highly textural and tonal, the pattern comes entirely from the interplay of raised blocks and shifting neutral tone, a quiet grey-and-cream piece with real depth underfoot.

Hand-knotted in natural wool, the cream, grey and oat coming from the fleece rather than dye. The mosaic is built in relief — small tufted squares set against each other — so it catches light and reads as texture rather than print, with a soft cross-structure surfacing across the field. Specialist-washed for a soft hand and depth, dense and substantial, made for years of real use.
