A warm walnut brown worked entirely in ribbed pile, with raised linear frames stepping inward like a nested border around an open centre. Fine horizontal ridges run through the field and catch the light along their length, giving a plain-from-a-distance floor real depth up close.

Hand-knotted in 100% natural wool. The frames are drawn through weave direction — bands of ribbing set against the grain of the ground, so the border stands up in relief without any change in colour. Specialist-washed for a soft hand and tonal range, the walnut carries toffee, camel and a deeper coffee note as the light shifts. Dense and substantial underfoot, made for years of real use.

Woven to order in your choice of size and colour, direct from our workshops — about three to four weeks, priced honestly because it comes straight from the makers.
