A natural oat ground built into a raised grid — plush squares, ridged bars and woven X-motifs standing up from the surface, with small charcoal markers pinning the intersections. Undyed wool in its own heathered tones gives it a raw, tactile character that carries real weight in a room.

Hand-knotted in natural wool, left close to its own colour so the greige, fawn and oat you see come from the fleece rather than dye. The pattern is built in high-low relief — raised blockwork and clipped grounds worked side by side — so the grid stands up under the hand and shifts as light rakes across it. The charcoal bars are woven in, not printed. Specialist-washed for a soft hand and depth, dense and substantial underfoot, made for years of real use.

Woven to order in your choice of size and colour, direct from our workshops — about three to four weeks, priced honestly because it comes straight from the makers.
