A cream ivory ground worked in an all-over grid of tan ribbed squares — an even check of woven blocks against the pale ground, framed by a darker taupe border. Undyed wool in its own tones gives it a quiet, natural character, the regular grid reading calm and handmade for a look that's structured but soft.

Hand-knotted in natural wool, the cream and tan coming from the fleece rather than dye. The check is built in high-low pile, finely ribbed squares set into the plain ground, so the pattern comes from texture and tone rather than print. Specialist-washed for a soft hand and depth, dense and even underfoot, made for years of real use.
