A natural oat ground worked in a basketweave grid — blocks of fine ribbing set at alternating angles, so the surface reads as woven squares turning against each other. Undyed wool in its own tones gives it a raw, tactile character, with the directional texture catching light as you move around the room.

Hand-knotted in natural wool, the greige and oat coming from the fleece rather than dye. The basketweave is structural — neighbouring blocks run their ribbing horizontally and vertically in turn, so the pattern is built into the weave rather than printed on it. Specialist-washed for a soft hand and depth, dense and grounded underfoot, made for years of real use.

Woven to order in your choice of size and colour, direct from our workshops — about three to four weeks, priced honestly because it comes straight from the makers.
