Soft Ground - Sigil - Ivory

A washed traditional medallion on a warm ivory ground — a central stepped diamond flanked by smaller ornamental marks and leaf motifs, framed by a thin inner border and a wider ornamental perimeter. The motifs are drawn in soft warm tan, the wash taking them almost to a whisper. Elegant and quiet, it reads like a memory of a bolder rug.
Hand-knotted in natural wool, the medallion and border motifs worked in warm tan against the ivory pile. Specialist-washed twice for a soft hand and the deep fade that makes the pattern feel inherited. Dense and hardwearing underfoot.
Woven to order in your choice of size and colour, direct from our workshops — about three to four weeks, priced honestly because it comes straight from the makers.
