Soft Ground - Patina - Oat

A warm oat ground carrying a faded allover pattern — the motifs washed almost entirely into the surface, visible as a ghostly textural impression rather than drawn lines. The eye detects structure without being able to name it. Quiet to the point of near-silence, it reads as a textured solid until the light rakes across it.
Hand-knotted in natural wool, the faded motifs worked tone-on-tone in slightly deeper oat. Specialist-washed twice for a soft hand and the extreme depth of fade that makes the pattern feel inherited. Dense and hardwearing underfoot.
Woven to order in your choice of size and colour, direct from our workshops — about three to four weeks, priced honestly because it comes straight from the makers.
Works with: pale ash and warm oak floors, cream walls, oatmeal and cognac leather, and brass.
