A warm greige ground scattered with angular charcoal marks — brackets, staples and open squares floated across the field with calm space around them. The restraint is the point: a quiet floor with just enough graphic incident to hold the eye, the dark figures reading crisp against the soft taupe ground.

Hand-knotted in natural wool. The marks are worked in deep charcoal wool set into the greige ground, in low relief so they catch light and stay sharp against the calm field rather than reading as print. Specialist-washed for a soft hand and depth, the taupe moves between greige, warm grey and stone as the light travels. Dense and even underfoot, made for years of real use.

Woven to order in your choice of size and colour, direct from our workshops — about three to four weeks, priced honestly because it comes straight from the makers.
